Upper Body Day! Little life update, I have been going back and forth about hiring a coach to finally buckle down and say what I was going to do a long time ago.. COMPETE in a competition. Grit and Grace: The Next Evolution. The 25th HOUR. We all have 24 hours in a day. However, it’s what we do with those 24 hours makes all the difference. What would you do if you had a 25th HOUR? How do we create it when we need that one extra hour in a day? . . I thought I would share a little about myself and what I do each day. I am more than just a bodybuilder: I’m a wife, teacher, a daughter, sister, and a friend. Each day I teach children with Special Needs which I absolutely love. After I leave school, I drive an hour home and I will either go right to the gym in my school cloths depending on the day. I will usually eat my 4th meal in the car as I drive home. I think one of the most challenging aspects of Bodybuilding and a contest prep is time management and how to fit it all in: This is my 25th HOUR: teaching, writing lesson plans and reports, family, my home, maintaining somewhat of a social life, cardio, nutrition, posing, work outs, meal prep, eating, recovery, sleeping. I pack everything that I need for the day at 6:00 am before leaving for the day. I food prep on the weekends or the night before. However, it’s not anything I would trade for the world. Why? Because I love this life style. To me, Bodybuilding is so more about the workouts and the stage. It has allowed me to walk with confidence in all aspects of my life. . . As I walk through the gym doors the NEXT EVOLUTION begins. I call it “My 25th hour”. I call it “The 25th Hour” because it’s the second part of my day. I actually ran OUTSIDE today because it was a little cooler than usual. I usually run with my dachshund for a mile but I thought surely my blue heeler would be fine for run... I was wrong. 😂 halfway in I was dragging her. Usually I have a 10-12 min mile and this was almost 9 minutes for half a mile. I’ll take the dachshund next time. 😂😂

#tranformationtuesday February➡️July -20 lbs. _ The year is flying by. It hasn't been the easiest at the same time not the worst. I'm figuring myself out through my weightloss. Getting closer to my last 20 lbs. I'm content with the results. It's great to feel enthusiastic about my wellbeing. I realized during my run what I wanted to gain the most is my self respect. Killed it doing seated military presses the other day! 💪Getting better at this movement and am actually really starting to like it. 😁 Did a set of 20 45, set of 15 65, set of 12 95, and a set of 20 135 PR for front presses. Then did a set of 12 65, set of 12 95, and a set of 17 115 PR for behind the neck presses. 🤘 Then did 2 sets of 20 50 and 2 sets of 30 60 for upright rows. Lastly did 5 sets of dumbbell laterals with the 15s, 20s, and 25s to failure. 😳 Awesome session! This was after bench press and dumbbell presses so shoulders were already a little taxed. 😅

Showing my volume work after my heavy singles now. 🤘 Even managed a PR and got 335 for 10 which has been a goal of mine forever!! 😁 here's how my whole workout went through with my bro @thabigdog32 because it was just flat out ridiculous.... did 2 sets of 10 135, set of 5 185, set of 5 225, set of 1 275, set of 1 315, set of 1 345, set of 1 375, set of 1 405, failed single with 415, redemption single with 405, set of 10 335 PR, set of 11 315, set of 10 315, and a set of 21 225. 🤘 I legit don't know how I didn't puke after all this.... 😥 Had to call it quits after this too because of it and did no accessory work. 😧 Might be a PR on roughest squat workout yet for me though! 🙏

Killed it squatting last night with my bro @thabigdog32 ! 🤘 Did a powerlifting to volume session which was actually pretty fun until the volume part.... 😥 Showing my top sets with heavy singles first. Managed a single with 405 which was fairly easy, then failed 415 (mental mistake), then redeemed myself with another single with 405 right after. Honestly my last set with 405 I really dug deep for! Smh for not doing that with 415 because I felt I legit had it.... would've been a PR for bodyweight too! 😢 lol 😅
