Nearly a week ago, I had an accident at the gym when my right arm got tangled in the squat rack of the Smith machine and 180 pounds pulled my entire right side and all the weight to the ground. I truly thought I was done. Ive also been afraid to do much of anything in fear of injuring it any further. . . Hey guys! Its Monday and I’m wondering what to write about today but I’m literally blank! So I’m just going to write about how Ive been feeling. To be honest I haven’t been good lately! My anxiety and depression has been almost unbearable to cope with. It’s been difficult to wake up and be positive lately. Every day feels like I’m drowning and I’m fighting and fighting to stay afloat. Putting on a fake smile, Pretending it’s okay and it’s not and you can’t even begin to explain why. If you have followed my page for a while and read any of my previous posts you will know that I am a personal trainer for any personal goals but I especially reach out to help those that suffer with stress, anxiety and depression because I also suffer. I show how exercise helped me and can make you feel so free by letting it all go in the right way. I also help others by sharing my posts and my journey on my page here. The people that relate and reach out to me tell me they have suffered in silence for so long - like I used to and sometimes I still do until I snap myself out of it. It breaks my heart because it is the worst feeling in the world. Feeling lost and alone in the world. I have actually been reading my own previous posts for motivation and to find my positivity. I don’t want to pretend today. So my motivation today is no matter how S**T things are don’t stop fighting, don’t give up, stay with me because I’m not giving up either. That’s exactly what I am doing this week! After a tough emotional month I haven’t been consistent in anything, I have made bad food choices and I know I haven’t been drinking enough water. Why did you want it? 2️⃣ Set yourself small goals to achieve every day or every week so it keeps you motivated and focused on the big end goal! This also stops it from seeming like the end goal is far out of sight. 3️⃣ The biggest! Know that no one is perfect! We are human, we make mistakes, we fall off track, life happens - ITS NORMAL! Even people you would look at and think they are perfect in every way, they are not because no one is and everyone struggles at some point with something. Real talk 👇🏻 Depression , Anxiety & Panic attack’s 👇🏻 ——————————————————————— This last week has been one of those weeks that it has felt like a weight has been laying so heavily on my chest and every day tears are at the surface. The fear of life and the smallest things would seem so scary and the worry was in the pit of my stomach. It’s a feeling of such hopelessness that I can’t even put into words sometimes. Why? I really don’t know exactly. Maybe because I have recently had big changes in my life and it’s me getting used to the changes. All I do know is my body reacts this way and I have to just do my best to handle it in ways which I learned. ——————————————————————— I have opened up a lot about my own anxiety & depression previously in posts so others can relate but I rarely talk about how real my anxiety still is. Although I take tables to help me, I still have it and i will never been healed of it. The difference is, with help I learned how to manage it in situations when life gets tough! It’s no where near as crippling as it once was. ——————————————————————— What do I do to manage it? ✨ I try to take control of my own thoughts and not let them control me. ✨ I try keep living life as normal, going to work, talking to people and not hiding away alone. ✨ Being around people that make me feel comfortable and love me for me. ✨ Making sure I still do things I enjoy - exercise is a massive medicine for me. ✨ Tell myself everything’s going to be okay because I’m trying my best and that’s enough! ✨ ✨ ✨ ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨ Open up - it was the best thing I ever did after years of dealing with it all on my own. People won’t exactly understand because no one understands any mental health illness unless it’s experienced, that’s just the way it is but talk to your loved ones, they love you to try understand it and you will feel better just having that support behind you. It’s takes half the scariness away! ———————————————————————
