Before our English ‘Efikos’ will start rolling their eyes👀 Lol, at least now, everybody now knows it’s called a Pen. But back then, it was Eleganza or Bic Biro o! Anyway, back to the gist!
One evening in August 2017, a day to my Professional exams, I just realised all the pens I had with me were Black! Ha! no BLUE PEN ke? So, I quickly asked for one from our Office Secretary, and he gave me this particular one.
See, ever since I was told, just before my JSSCE Exams, that Examiners didn’t have time for poorly written, dull and untidy exam scripts, I decided never to write any exam (Internal or External) in black ink. It had to be Blue!
Don’t get me wrong, there’s nothing wrong with writing exams in black ink. In fact, I use a black pen 99% of the time, and yea, my handwriting is very legible and I dare say, beautiful! But, I just decided that there was no point taking any chances. In fact then, it just had to be a Blue Eleganza Biro. Who Bic epp???(I’m actually using this word for the first time😂).
Where was I sef? Yea, so the following day, I sat for my exams and then, after my last paper on the second day, I dropped my Blue pen in my daughter’s Cot (she no longer sleeps there) right by my bedside. This was August 2017. Six weeks later, our Results were released...
